25th Annual Jazz Festival Timeline

October 2, 2007 (Tuesday)- Online registration for schools begins at 9:00 a.m.   Participation acceptance letters and fees billed by e-mailed asap.

November 1, 2007 (Thursday)- Participation fees due from schools. Schools not paying by that date will be replaced by a band on the waiting list. 

PARTICIPATION FEES- There are two participation fees for high school or junior high BIG BANDS, depending on where you perform. 

• $225 fee to help cover your ensemble’s clinic expenses with televised and auditorium performances if you perform on stage.    
  
  OR
  
• $200 fee to help cover your ensemble's clinic expenses if you perform other than on stage.

NOTE: Ensembles that withdraw after JANUARY 2, 2006, will forfeit their entire entrance fee. DO NOT SEND YOUR FEE UNTIL YOU ARE BILLED.

October 15, 2007- FINAL NUMBER OF TICKETS YOU WILL BE PAYING FOR BY NOVEMBER 22.

Nov. 21, 2007 (Wednesday)- ABSOLUTE deadline for evening concert ticket payments from participating schools. Participant tickets for evening concert are $18 each. (Each school gets a complimentary ticket for the director.) Schools not ordering tickets by that date run the risk of not sitting together, or not receiving evening concert tickets at all.

December 7, 2007 (Friday)- Remaining tickets for the 2008 Jazz Festival Evening Concert go on sale at that night's New Trier FALL JAZZ CONCERT to the general public for $25 each (when purchase in advance).

January 4, 2008 (Friday)- Last day for a school to withdraw and get a refund of fees. Withdrawal must be e-mailed by midnight.

January 11, 2008 (Friday)- Total numbers due from band directors of their students who plan to purchase lunch in our cafeteria. (This is necessary for us to make a bulk food order.)

February 9, 2008 (Saturday)- 25th Annual Jazz Festival
Note: Guest pro bands are told to finish the evening concert NO LATER than 10:00 p.m. 

All festival activities that take place ON STAGE (including the entire evening concert) will be broadcast LIVE over the INTERNET. Your parents can watch to see when the concert ends.
